World Literacy Day

Celebrating World Literacy Day at Gekong'o II DEB Secondary School, engaging learners in meaningful conversations about the power of education, reading, goal-setting, and building a brighter future. The mentorship session reminded students that literacy is more than simply reading and writing—it is the ability to understand the world, make informed decisions, discover opportunities, and confidently pursue one's dreams.

Learners were encouraged to:

1. Develop a strong reading culture.

2. Set clear academic and personal goals.

3. Believe in their abilities and potential.

4. Overcome the challenges that may stand in the way of their education.

5. Use knowledge to create positive change in their families and communities.

At Zeph Omweno Foundation, we believe that every learner deserves an opportunity to learn, grow and dream.
